Recommended Posts

So this is my story !!

I been living in the USA since i was a mocoso like 13 years old , now I'm 23 , so anyway after i finished high school , at the age of 18 i felt like shit , couldn't believe , i was not gonna be able to go to college , or keep studying cuzz of my status in this country , so i had no other option than to look for a job , which it wasn't easy too , didn't know how to tell the boss that i needed to get pay in cash (5 years later , i`m part of the same company that one day i looked for a job and didnt know how to ask them to pay me cash )

I`m in the clothing business , ( ANYBODY KNOWS THAT SHOW CALLS JERSY SHORE ? SO OUR COMPANY IS THE ONE WHO MAKES ALL THOSE T-SHIRTS DESIGNS FOR PAULY-D , THE SITUATION , RONNIE SNOOKI, AND ALL THOSE GUYS , YOU SEE ON TV , WE ALSO HAVE STORES AT THE NJ-SHORE , AND AROUND THE USA )

SO now that the company knows , i got my working permit & they wanna send me to Canada , they wanna expand their locations and i`m their man ! i`m the guy with the skills and knowledge to do that !So , Does anyone know if i can actually go to Canada to work ? what do i need , or what kind of paper work i need to fill up in order to be allow to go to Canada ? The company is ready to do any type of paper work , the only thing that scares me is , what if they wont let me come back to the USA ! so then i`ll fu%3 , trapped in Canada !!!

ANYBODY EVER THOUGHT ABOUT MOVING TO CANADA ?

ANYBODY IS TRYING TO MOVE TO CANADA ?

( All my Mexicanos aqui les dejo una pic , of my next Shirt coming out next summer )

Hi tony i'm Justine from facebook :), I'm glad you joined the forum .... and now reading you're story, like pswa said you'll need to apply for Advanced Parole, but I agree with pswa you should check with a lawyer, but wish you the best of Luck :) and welcome to the forum :)

That's a nice proposition, though you would have to ask for an advanced parole and get it as for work purposes, like many others have said, ask a lawyer and best of lucks.

I understand you're upset..but how can we be "legal" slaves if we dont even have legal status to begin with? Remember we're just legally illegal..lol..sorry bad joke..and yeah it sucks..but when 1 door closes..others open...at least you can now work...thats way ahead of how we were a year ago..

I know , it's just that is so hard to to live this way , the working permit I got , like u said made me ( Legally - Illegally) I got out of the shadows but now I'm under the radar , I'm praying for the dream act to become officially a law next year , hopefully they'll take the chains off us and give us our freedom like they did to the Afro Americans back in the day ...

I understand you are very upset with seeing yourself missing this seemingly very good opportunity but believe in yourself. Maybe you'll miss this good chance but like Itzel says, when one door closes, the other one opens. We knew this policy was to see how we cope. But we need to understand, in order to establish a comprehensive permanent immigration reform, the government need to find a way to satisfy both illegal immigrants' side and the citizens' side at the same time. Being under the radar isn't too bad, that means at least we got ourselves a good chance to prove that granting us a legal status is a beneficial for the country.

so i dont know what kind of lawyer you got but the application for the Advanced Parole is form I-131 and you can get it on the USCIS website. this is what USCIS states about Advanced Parole:

New - Q3: If my case is deferred pursuant to the consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals process, will I be able to travel outside of the United States?

A3: Not automatically. If USCIS has decided to defer action in your case and you want to travel outside the United States, you must apply for advance parole by filing a Form I-131, Application for Travel Document and paying the applicable fee ($360). USCIS will determine whether your purpose for international travel is justifiable based on the circumstances you describe in your request. Generally, USCIS will only grant advance parole if you are traveling for humanitarian purposes, educational purposes, or employment purposes. You may not apply for advance parole unless and until USCIS defers action in your case pursuant to the consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals process. You cannot apply for advance parole at the same time as you submit your request for consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals. All advance parole requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

If USCIS has deferred action in your case under the deferred action for childhood arrivals process after you have been ordered deported or removed, you may still request advance parole if you meet the guidelines for advance parole described above. However, once you have received advance parole, and before you actually leave the United States, you should seek to reopen your case before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and obtain administrative closure or termination of your removal proceeding. Even after you have asked EOIR to reopen your case, you should not leave the United States until after EOIR has granted your request. If you depart after being ordered deported or removed, and your removal proceeding has not been reopened and administratively closed or terminated, your departure may result in your being considered deported or removed, with potentially serious future immigration consequences. If you have any questions about this process, you may call the ICE Office of the Public Advocate through the Office’s hotline at 1-888-351-4024 (staffed 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday) or by email at[email protected].
