Package = the forms, payment and paperwork. Lockbox = the place where you mail your package to.
-
You are supposed to send your application to a lockbox depending on your state and shipping method, which can be seen here http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD If you fill out form G-1145 and write your e-mail or phone number, they will send you an e-mail or text telling you that they have received your application and that they will be sending it off for processing. Even if you don't fill out this form or if you do, they will also mail you a paper called I-797C that also says the same thing. About a week - 2 weeks later, you will get another letter in the mail, which will be your Biometrics appointment.

Deferred Action Suffering From Low Application Submissions
JoseG replied to JoseG's topic in Dream Act News
Yes, hopefully since they see that not many people are applying they will be less strict to get more people to apply. -
Lol, nice.

Deferred Action Suffering From Low Application Submissions
JoseG replied to JoseG's topic in Dream Act News
Yeah, I think that's the biggest factor preventing people from applying, they want to wait for the results of the election. -
Got the texts and emails, application being sent to California for processing

It means Letter Size paper, like the regular type of printing paper. Just bring originals and copies of everything they asked you to bring. Birth certificate, passport, proof of residence, ids. etc.
-
Hmm...my closest one is 33 miles away, not too bad, hopefully I get that one and not one farther away.

Yeah, they send them to Nebraska or Vermont for processing, not sure if those are the only places they send them to.
-
From what I'm seeing, it's taking about 5-7 days from when they receive your application to when they send you a text or e-mail confirmation.
-
Thanks, I'll try it out when I get my receipt number.
-
Good to know, thanks.

Make sure you take all of the right paperwork, and copies of everything you are taking for the matricula, or else you will be there for a while.

By what month will we be able to work, after doing biometrics?
JoseG replied to itzel's topic in Dream Lounge
I'm not entirely sure about the whole process, but I think that after you go in for Biometrics, the prints and photographs will be sent to the FBI, then, the results will be sent to DHS, then they decide whether to grant deferred action to you or not. That process might take a couple weeks to take a month, then comes the EAD, which can take anywhere between 30 - 90 days. -

JoseG replied to itzel's topic in Dream Lounge
That's correct, only after you have been granted Deferred Action, is when your I-765 will be processed, which can take up to 90 days. -
Let us know what they say
-
Yes, that's normal. They will send the package somewhere else for processing.

Hopefully mid November - December, but the EAD (Employment Authorization Document) can take up to 90 days -
Awesome. I hope he wins and something actually gets done for us sooner though, instead of waiting until the last few months of his presidency.

Biometrics Appointment ID

Erm, are you trolling or what? lol I'm pretty sure today is September 5th -
I recently obtained my matricula consular earlier this month so I will be taking that, along with my old passport and birth certificate just in case. The way I dress might depend on what will be done when we go in for Biometrics. I've read that it's just fingerprints and photographs and that you'll be out of there in 15-30 minutes, so I'll just dress how I normally do. If it were an actual interview, I would probably wear a dress shirt and dress pants

Rawf, why does your signature say you received the acceptance letter on September 9?
