How long after Biometrics to get approved?
itzel replied to Rickyerique's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Sinae is right, it takes a while to get approved or hear anything about your case after you do your bio, regardless you did a walk in or adhered to the appoinment day. -
You can find that info on my signature. 21 days after completing biometrics. Remember it also depends what center you were sent to. Some centers are faster than others.
-
Not only will it slow down but my theory is that most other service centers are overloaded on cases and are sending them to texas because they need help. You will get approved eventually. Just be patient.

I know a member here did their biometrics on the 26 of September and already got approved and got their EAD and already found a job. They are under the name of pswa83. Might want to ask her questions. Im at the Nebraska center so Im not too much help but Im sure you'll receive news very soon. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Look at the timeline guys. Most approval are from biometrics done around sept 12. Yours still has a bit to go or will eventually come. Dont lose hope.
-
Ok, but what service center was your case sent to? After receiving your I797C (notice of action) that should tell you what center. There are centers in Nebraska, Vermont, California, Texas
-
Hi Whenthugzcrii: What date did you do your biometrics? What service center were you routed to? Are you signed up for text/email updates from USCIS regarding your case? I already have my work permit, just waiting for my SS card. Look at my timeline in my signature below.
-
You went to your biometrics in Riverside, CA or your application got routed to California?
-
I respect your point of view. Being mysterious/coy isn't bad

Great words jam rock, God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers,
-
Congrats jam rock. You should make a timeline of your case like we all have so we can compare dates. What service center were you sent to?

Hi jam rock. I got the text October 10 that it was by USPS on the 10th. I received EAD on the 12th. I also signed up for emails and didn't get any.

If your application is taking longer to get approved, read this
itzel replied to arcane's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
This should be ready by EVERYONE who's concerned about the wait time.... Thanks arcane..great post. -
I filled it out..its really personal choice..you dont have to if you dont want to and also, even though I filled out the application, when I got to the SS office, the lady who helped me asked me the same questions that were on the application but she didnt ask me about race....

I agree C_Air23, because some people dont know what theyre doing, they should reach out to others they see that have been through a similar process and ask for advice/tips..thats the reason this forum was created. To help each other out, that is what distinguishes us DREAMERS from other youth, we'll help each other up, not put our foot at someones neck and keep them down...

Squirm Romney, squirm....lol...

Hours dont seem to matter with the texts/email. What I havent seen or heard is anyone being notified on a Saturday or Sunday.
-
I feel Obama put Romney on the spot by having him admit previous statements which he tries to dodge or avoid. Example: he would make it hard for us to stay in this country and therefore we would opt for volutary deportation.Romney had nothing to say. In this 2nd debate I saw Romney be his usual rude self. I saw Obama put a little for fight into this debate and I believe Obama won this one...just a few weeks for Obama to be re elected

I personally believe its good, we arent applying and have any bad habits that need to be broken but everyone will interpret it the way they like.

I turn off my phone at night, so It didnt bother me, and I can tell you that waking up to that text, was a bit scary because all the text does is tell you that your case was updated but it was a good day. Welcome to the forum.
-
I also believe its good to be honest upfront. I thinkt that if an employer is smart and hire us they can see us as a piece of pliable clay. Ill be preparing a resume and trying to highlight some of my best skills. Communications skills, bilingual skills, following instructions effectively, etc.

I wish Mario LC. I was at the Nebraska Center. I received my approval text at 445am on October 9th. I also thought they worked under business hours, but it seems they have their "own" schedule...
-
True, now to prepare a resume just in case and give my "2 weeks notice" at the current jobs I have.
