So since I live in texas and older than 18, to apply for a state id, all I would have to do is pay the fee, bring my SS number and take my EAD? Nothing else...

I heard some people who get a ss applying for fafsa. My friend did it and she is neither a citizenship or resident. However she has a ss and she came to the usa with asylum

I sent mine late september. and got and went to my bio october 26th a few days earlier than yours. Some people are not sure if the walk-ins help. I didnt do a walk in because I wanted to go step by step and not "skip in line." I was just approved RECENTLY! I live in texas too. And Nebraska is pretty...FAST! So your in good standing.

What office was your case sent to? Vermont and texas tends to be a little slower than Cali and Nebraska. Trust me, your not the only one worrying. As long as you provided all the appropriete documents and evidence, you will be okay. Hopefully you were not in a rush to send in your application and missed things. But if you are really freaking out, then call USCIS and ask them about your case.

That link really helped me! thanks. I read they do that all the time. And don't even keep track of it. Well I want my passport back! It's mine lol. But before that, I was on what the USA called "Deferred action" meaning I could be in the USA but without rights of citzenship. -

No Itzel! settling for less is inexcusable! Not attaining citizenship, but residency is like saying, I rather be tied up in bondage and tortured then to be dead. There's people that have family to reach out and places to travel in the world. If anything pray. As a DAca applicant, this is not enough, but the start. All things are possible.

Wow that's insane! I began preparing mine of the day of august 15th and finally finished by late august. I can somewhat understand how you felt. My lawyer didnt send it until mid septmber. This was really upseting, bu it is what it is. As long as you have all your materials and evidence. Better to send late and be prepared then to send early and be rejected or have to wait longer. Glad your case is now on the run! anywho, WELCOME Marose!
