Biometrics Appointment Step by Step and what to Expect !
JoseG replied to Luna's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
That will depends on the ASC you were appointed to. They decide whether they let you do a walk-in or not. It usually depends whether the ASC is empty or busy. Others won't let you walk-in regardless. -
Need help ! Do I qualified if I enter the U.S after 16 ?
JoseG replied to Mario's topic in Introduce Yourself
Unfortunately, you do not qualify. You must meet ALL of the guidelines to qualify for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and as you already know, one of the requirements is to have come to the United States before reaching the age of 16. If you send in your application, it would be automatically denied. -
Congrats, what's your timeline?

Biometrics Appointment... how long? please help
JoseG replied to gianka09's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
About a week. -
I'm not sure if it would take as long for someone who already has an SSN. Yeah, many people have gone in to the SSA and have been told that they needed to wait 10 days after they received their EAD to apply for an SSN because they need to verify your information with DHS and they can't do it until after 10 days because that is when you will be in the system.
-
You'll get the same number and the card will look like the one I posted.
-
We'll be getting one like this. It basically states that you can't work unless you have a valid EAD.
-
On I-765 Form, question 9 says "SS number (include all numbers you have ever used)"!
JoseG replied to Agarcia11's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
This has been answered by USCIS. Only include numbers that were issued to you by the Social Security Administration. -
You would need to prove your status to get a replacement though.
-
Yes, but if someone can't renew their ead what are they to do? They wont be able to work because of what their SSN says. It would also be illegal to stay after your Daca expires.
-
Unless you get a fake card with your real number on it.
-
Actually, I believe the EAD will have "C33" under "Category" so the DMV will be able to see that you are DACA approved and therefore be ineligible for a DL or ID in Arizona. Here is an sample of an EAD. Ours will have "C33" in place of the "C09"

Biometrics Appointment Step by Step and what to Expect !

Hmm.....did the person doing the Biometrics scan both of the barcodes on your Biometrics Appointment Letter? If so, I don't think there should be a problem. If I were you, I would call USCIS and ask them why you were sent a second letter. -
I pretty much listen to anything. Hip-Hop, Rap, Rock, Oldies, Corridos, Mariachi, NorteƱas, Country. lol depends on the mood.

Lol, that sucks. My dad had to go down to Mexico for an emergency and my mom didn't want to stay so she went with him. -

What to do after the Biometrics Appointment?
JoseG replied to indieBlocs's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
After you're done with the Biometrics, the FBI will run a criminal record check and send the results to USCIS. After USCIS gets the check, an adjudicator will look over your case and do a background check and look at the evidence you submitted. If everything is fine, you will be approved and your EAD will go into production. If the adjudicator wants to see extra evidence, you will be sent an RFE (Request For Evidence) that will list what evidence the adjudicator wants you to send in. This can take anywhere between 1-3 weeks. You can check the status of your case here https://egov.uscis.g...d/CaseStatus.do You can also sign up for Case Updates, which will notify you by e-mail or text of when there is an update to your case. https://egov.uscis.g...tercustomer.jsp- 13 replies

Put your original name as it is on your birth certificate on Part 1. If your name is different on your school records I would put it in the Other Names Used section and you can put a small explanation in the Additional Information section.
