Completely ignorant, they are just making us look bad... There was no need for them to do that since Obama granted us Deferred Action or at least gave us something rather than still be illegal.

I found out about adreamact.com when I went to google and on the search bar I typed Deferred Action and I started clicking on the links and eventually saw this one (: and I found a whole lot of helpful information
Thanks for all that everybody has shared

For some reason something keeps telling me that I shouldn't have applied for the deferred action I know I deserve it but I feel like I should have left that opportunity for somebody who really deserved it since I can't find a job, my mom knowing the big opportunity President Obama gave us and that we had to put it to use, she still made me drop out of college not knowing how much that would affect me I just feel like every door is closing on me that I have no opportunities and I know I should be lucky and I am but its just all the negativity it has been 2 months and half that I got approved and I still can't find a job I feel like I just wasted that time.. I thought about going back to Mexico maybe there I had a shot at studying since the school I was going to here was the only one who accepts people with deferred action or they didn't have a problem accepting me like the other schools and also maybe working since I can really put the bilingual knowledge to work. I also considered maybe moving states but I cannot afford that since my parents are separated and I know my dad wouldn't want to pay so much for tuition. I am just overwhelmed I think

I believe in some states they fix your legal status that way you don't go back to your country with the money.

My friend is going to apply for a social security number pretty soon he is 17 years old so that is considered a minor I believe in the state of Missouri so would he need to take his parents so they can sign on his behalf? If so do they need an ID to show that they are his legal guardians?? Thanks

Some guy told me that you could get the work authorization card as well as advance parole together but you have to pay a fee for that he said people already traveled with it. I told him yes if they were like hired by somebody from the US that means they get a visa also... That for us its through deferred action which means that it has to be a humanitarian, employment, or educational reasons

I have a question, need different opinions... I might be going to Mission, Texas (the house I am going to is like one mile away from the border) for vacations in 2 weeks I was granted deferred action and all but to get there I have to cross the Boarder Patrol CheckPoint and my uncle said that after the border it is 100 miles after you cross it that it becomes the US territory... So I was wondering if I would get in trouble if not what documentation would I show to prove that I am in the US legally.. Help

I never got to introduce myself, so here is me in a little nutshell.
I was brought to the United States when I was 9 which means 9 years and 8 months ago. I never wanted to leave the country I only knew, but I had to since we came following my dad because he was already here. I always had that anger towards my mom and would always blame it on them that if I was in mexico I could still have everything I dont have here(stuff that depends on your immigration status) but I got over it and I am thankful now. I am a middle child and the one who took the longest when it came to learning English. After 3 years I got the hang of it. I went on to school and during my senior year I was the only undocumented student in my class it was hard at times but nothing was impossible. When it came time to graduate everybody was planning the big "senior trip" which was to go to the bahamas. My friends knew about my situation but to make me happy and to be together we decided to go to Florida. Story short- I got a scholarship which is full ride even with obstacles and my status in the US. The day I was approved I felt so relief and humble and happy at the same time. Not everybody gets this opportunity. My goals for now are to enroll in college and be a psychiatrist or forensics pathologist.

Can anybody explain to me why my social security number print out says..." This printout does not verify your right to work in the United States"... does it mean that I have to wait for my physical card to come in the mail?
