ha, i think we should all go to AZ once we have our papers and apply for DLs. I mean, this is denying someone of their civil rights. if someone has the right to legally drive because they have the legal documents that the DMV requires, then how can they be denied that right?

So I got this idea to help follow and track progress, add the following info to your signature FROM YOUR PROFILE. If you need help, just reply here. Use the following format:
    Date Application Sent -
The Lockbox the application was sent to -
Mailing Method (Express, priority, certified) etc. -
    Date delivered -
Date acceptance letter of application received -
Date of I-797 C Notice of Action (Application Approved) -
    Date Biometrics scheduled -
    Date of EAD received -
You can color it, fix it however you would like!

This was already said by president Obama, the DACA doesn't qualify to receive aid help for college expenses.

This is hurtful to read. How can a person representing a state can be so hard on people? Arizona is the worst place to live and was ranked in the top 10 most boring States. People need to move out and let that governor deal with the economy because what immigrants do to work is not done by Americans.

yan88, if your husband is an Officer in the Airforce, then i would apply through him. it will be a better situation for you. If you apply through him you will get permanant residency which will lead to citizenship. with DACA that path is not possible. if you can find the legal aid office on base and see if they can help you or google catholic charities where you live. they have lawyers that work there and it cost less.

Rawf got a reaction from cookie in How big is your application packet?
I would never send the original, unless they specifically state it. The only original document I am sending is the translated certificate.
I will send the required copies along with the application together in a folder, then the extra information in a separate folder for it to be reviewed.
Taxes can also help in this situation.

A birth certificate translation at a consulate would be more expensive, I agree. I paid $30 for mine when I did it a few months back, but now that same person is charging $50.
A lot of people are taking advantage of this and charging more.

Just present anything that proves you have been in the US for the time it was announced and education, medical records.
Don't think about lying is very important and they have made it very clear. A minor error or lie might get you denied and that would be sad.
There's so much to read and learn from what's going on right now, use that information wisely.

    Hello raw,
I attended a community meeting that was set up by immigration lawyers, the first I thing I asked them was if selective service was a requirement to apply for deferred action and their answer was no. You can disregard this post.

Im skipping work tuesday and wednesday. This because I called USCIS and asked about the exact time the application will be released. I was told the 15th of August at any time, so it could even be august 15 at midnight. If so, I'll get my stuff ready and by the time they open the post office, I'll be there to mail it out.
good luck to you rawf and welcome to the forum.

Rawf reacted to itzel in Dream act vs deferred action.
i dont think the Dream Act will be passed this year. Im very happy the Deferred Act was passed this year, and cant avoid the fact that most likely it was passed to get the support and votes of the Latin community.
Dont get me wrong, Im thankful for what we have obtained (Deferred Act) but after waiting for soo many years, I cant help wanting more..like the Dream Act
Im also aware of the truth and I dont think the Dream Act is a priority this year. Hopefully next year....
