FAQ- I am not a U.S. citizen, but I want to join your Armed Forces. How may I do this?

Enlistment into any branch of the U.S. military, by citizens of countries other than the United States, is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services Alien Registration Card (INS Form I-151/551 - commonly known as a "Green Card").

The U.S. military branches cannot assist foreign nationals in obtaining admittance into the United States. People overseas with questions concerning immigration to the United States should ask the local U.S. Embassy. Only after immigration procedures are completed and an applicant is legally residing in the United States may an application for enlistment be accepted.

The U.S. government agency which is responsible for immigration and naturalization is the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services within the Department of Homeland Security.

Yes I would ! Most probly the navy. It would help my career as a engineer and The challenge of the physical training excites me. I'm a very competitive person. Plus traveling all around the country or just to get out this sh*t hole.

I feel like if I wanna do something different and risky w/e it has to be at this point of my life, or never. I have no one who depends on me, I'm getting divorced. And imagine all those benefits .... There's short terms contracts , from 2 years n up . !

If I could I would totally

It would be something I can be proud of

Im confused...you want to get out of "this s***hole" but you're fighting for status?

By Sh*thole, I would assume she means the current city/town she is living in at the moment...not the country in general...

I want to leave my city as well...not a sh*thole by a long shot, but I just got tired of it...Babylon is waiting for me...

You don't have a status with DACA, just legal presence for 2 years. You can't join the military unless your ex husband had petitioned for you and you had become a Permanent Resident.
